Located near Orbey, in the Haut-Rhin department. A local AAPPMA permit is required.

A glacial lake located at an altitude of 935 m on the eastern slope of the Vosges Mountains. The lake is closed off by a natural moraine, and its water flows into the Weiss River through a stream named "ruisseau du lac Noir". Fish species: trout, arctic char.
