Located in Hajdú-Bihar County along Route 33. Accessible by car via unmarked forest roads (passable in dry conditions), or by train from Debrecen or Tiszafüred to Hortobágy Station.

An 11.5-hectare stretch spanning approximately 4 km from the railway bridge to the Borsós Weir, with an average width of 15–25 meters. The riverbed is varied, featuring hard and silty substrates, dense reed beds, and aquatic vegetation. Quiet, nature-oriented fishing.
