Vörs (Vörsi reservoir) is the main fishing access point — 20 km south of Keszthely. Detailed regulations are available from the West Hungarian Water Authority.

Balaton's natural filtration area (at the Zala estuary), a 145 km² wetland habitat and largely protected nature reserve. Fishing is permitted only in designated sections. Carp, pike, pikeperch, and catfish.
