From Bratislava approximately 270 km east on the D1 motorway. Liptovský Trnovec and Bobrovník are the main fishing ports. SRZ daily ticket approximately 12–20 EUR at local ticket offices. Boat permit required.

One of Slovakia's largest reservoirs on the Váh River near Liptovský Mikuláš, built between 1965 and 1975. It flooded thirteen villages. Excellent for spinning — pikeperch, pike, catfish, carp. A popular foreign destination for Hungarian anglers due to its accessibility and lower costs compared to Austria.
