Located on Route 47, approximately 30–35 minutes by car from Szeged. Free parking available at the nature centre and beach. Accessible by train to Mártély station, then a 15–20 minute walk.

A 46-hectare oxbow lake with an average depth of 2 m and maximum depth of 7 m, formed during the Tisza River regulation of 1889–1892. Home to 36 fish species with abundant populations and 60% shaded banks. Located within the Mártély Landscape Protection Area — ideal for nature-friendly fishing.
