Access via A8 motorway and B318 exit toward Tegernsee. Primary fishing areas are Rottach-Egern and Bad Wiessee. A Bavarian fishing exam (Fischerprüfung) is required.

An 8.9 km² alpine lake in southern Bavaria, 72 m deep. Clear mountain water with excellent populations of arctic char, brown trout, pike, and perch. Located approximately 50 km from Munich.
