From Linz via A1 + B144 (~50 km). Daily tickets available at multiple locations; boat fishing is recommended for deeper areas. Whitefish (reuter) fishing is a cherished traditional practice here.

Austria's deepest lake (191 m), 24.5 km², on the northern edge of the Salzkammergut. Clear, cold water with excellent trout populations. Gmunden and Ebensee are the main fishing destinations.
